Boondi Laddu Easy & Instant | Boondi Ladoo Recipe
Ingredients for boondi ladoo:
1 cup gram flour|besan
11/4 tsp water
Pinch of yellow food colour mixed with 1 tsp of water (optional)
Oil for frying
Ghee
Foil container
Wooden skewer
Ingredients for sugar syrup:
1/4 cup water
1 cup of sugar
1/4 tsp lime or lemon juice
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1 tbsp melon seeds
Method:
In a bowl add gram flour and little water, whisk well without forming any lumps.
Then add the rest of the water and food colour whisk well.
Keep the batter aside. (Batter should be flowing consistency).
Make the holes in a foil container using the wooden skewer.
Heat the oil and pour a ladle full of batter to the perforated foil container by keeping the ladle on the top of the oil.
Tap or shake the container and let the boondis fall into the oil.
Stir and fry on medium-high heat.
When the boondis are 70% done, take it out from the oil and transfer
onto a kitchen paper.
In a large thick-bottomed pot, add water and sugar. Stir well.
Boil the sugar until it reaches to one string consistency then add lime juice, cardamom powder, melon seeds and stir well.
Turn off the stove and add prepared boondi, mix well and cover.
Let the boondi rest for 2 minutes (Make the ladoos when the mixture is still warm).
Grease your palm with a little ghee and make the ladoos.
Note: Instead of melon seeds you can use any nuts (cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios and also few cloves)
